Appealing Cases from High Court and Industrial Court
Service Description
The Court of Appeal hears and determines appeals from the decisions of the High Court and the Industrial Court.
How do I obtain the service?
You file the notice and grounds of appeal with the registry of the Court of Appeal as well as the High Court or Industrial Court, to enable the originating court to commence transcribing the record. A copy of the notice and grounds of appeal are transmitted to the Court of Appeal registry which will register and give a case number to the appeal.
How do I apply for the service?
Note your appeal within six weeks of the judgment you are appealing against following as closely as possible the forms prescribed under the second schedule of the Court of Appeal Rules.
Cost involved in obtaining the service?
The appeal fee is P15 and P6 for leave application.
